Tour de France 2016 Stage 7: Cummings solos to climb victory, Van Avermaet cements overall lead

Stage 7 of the Tour de France is the first day in the Pyrenees. The race is marked by the climb up Col d'Aspin. Cummings is in the early break and he attacks just before hitting the Aspin. The 35-year old soloes to an impressive victory, while Van Avermaet cements his overall lead, because he was in the early break, too.

Critérium du Dauphiné 2016 Stage 7: Cummings solos to mountain victory, Froome wins overall

The last stage of the 2016 Critérium du Dauphiné features six climbs. The final 50 kilometres are marked by two 1st categorie ascents, and it's there Stephen Cummings attacks from the front group to solo to victory. Dan Martin finishes in second and Romain Bardet in third, while they occupy the same places in reverse in the overall. Chris Froome takes the GC for the second year in a row.

Tour of the Basque Country 2016: Stage 3 – Stephen Cummings soloes to tight victory, Landa retains lead

At 193.5 kilometres, stage 3 in the Tour of the Basque Country leads to Lesaka. The last 30 kilometres are spiced up with three mountain tops, but the race is decided by a late Cummings attack. The Briton soloes to a tight victory in Cummings style. Mikel Landa retains the overall lead.

At 222 kilometres, stage 4 in the Tirreno-Adriatico is marked by rolling roads. Stephen Cummings goes solo with 3.5 kilometres left and he powers to the win. Zdenek Stybar still leads the overall classification.
