Tirreno-Adriatico 2018 Stage 4: Landa wins Queen Stage, Caruso new leader

The Queen Stage of the Tirreno-Adriatico takes in a string of intermediate hills to end with a 13.1 kilometres closing climb at 7.1% to the Sassotetto ski resort. Chris Froome is dropped in the finale, while leader Geraint Thomas loses time due to a mechanical. Mikel Landa wins ahead of Rafal Majka and George Bennett. Damiano Caruso moves into the overall and Thomas drops to fifth place.

Giro 2017: Landa solos to victory, Quintana new leader

The 19th stage in the Giro amounts to 191 kilometres and takes in four climbs. Mikel Landa soloes to victory, while maglia rosa Dumoulin succumbs to repeated attacks. Quintana is the new leader, 38 seconds ahead of Dumouin and a few seconds more ahead of Nibali. Pinot is also close behind.

Tour of the Basque Country 2016: Stage 2 – Landa bests Kelderman on steep closing climb to take leader’s jersey

At 174 kilometres, stage 2 in the Tour of the Basque Country leads from Markina-Xemein to the Ermita de Garrastatxu. This equals a short and steep closing climb and it's here Landa and Kelderman attack. They power to the line, where the Basque outsprints the young Dutchman, thus taking the overall lead in his home race. Behind their backs Contador puts 4 seconds into Quintana and 11 seconds into Aru.
