Giro 2017: Landa solos to victory, Quintana new leader

The 19th stage in the Giro amounts to 191 kilometres and takes in four climbs. Mikel Landa soloes to victory, while maglia rosa Dumoulin succumbs to repeated attacks. Quintana is the new leader, 38 seconds ahead of Dumouin and a few seconds more ahead of Nibali. Pinot is also close behind.

Stage 19 in the Giro d'Italia is the penultimate race in the high mountains. The route seems to be predestined for a GC battle on the last climb. The distance is 15.4 kilometres and the average gradient 7.3%. Yet the cunning part is the first 6 kilometres, averaging 9.4%.
