Giro d’Italia 2016 Stage 3: Kittel powers to victory and leader’s jersey

At 190 kilometres, stage 3 in the Giro d'Italia leads from Nijmegen to Arnhem. Home-rider Tjallingii was, just like yesterday, in the break and he takes the KOM-jersey, but the big man is Marcel Kittel. The German powers to victory and, thanks to a time bonus at 10 seconds, he is the new man in pink.

Sunday, May 8, 2016 – In the 3rd stage of the Giro d'Italia riders face a 190 kilometres course from Nijmegen to Arnhem. It is not stage 2 in reverse as the route now bends eastwards while the Arnhem -> Nijmegen race explored the area to the west of both Dutch cities.

Stage 3 in the 2016 Giro leads from Nijmegen to Arnhem. The only climb is up the Posbank, with a steepest section at 12%, yet no sprinter will be alarmed as it's 53 kilometres remaining at the top.
