Stage 11 in the Giro d'Italia is among the longest stages in the 2016 edition. The race explodes in the hilly finale after a Kruijswijk attack. Nibali and Valverde take over, yet Jungels and Amador escape when all favourites are bunched. Ulissi joins them on the last climb and he outsprints Jungels and Amador in Asolo, who can take comfort in the fact that they cement their positions one and two on GC.

Wednesday, May 18, 2016 – At 227 kilometres, stage 11 of the 2016 Giro d'Italia leads the riders from supersportscar-town Modena to Asolo. Expect fast men with an appetite for an occasional climb to detonate the fireworks as the stage is mostly flat, except for the finale.

In stage 11 the Giro d'Italia serves riders (and TV watchers) a mouthwatering finale. With 20 kilometres left a steep climb and with 5 kilometres to go a short and cobbled climb into the medieval town of Asola. A sprint with a select group seems the most likely scenario.
