Stage 15 is flat for 207 kilometres and then the finale offers a 18 kilometres climb up Plan di Montecampione. Another tribute to Marco Pantani adn just as spectacuaur as yesterday's ride. Young Italian Fabio Aru outpowers each and everyone, just like Rigoberto Uran takes valuable seconds from Cadel Evans.

Sunday, May 25th – A 225 kilometre ride from Valdengo to Montecampione. The early part of the stage is played out on the flats nearby Milan but finishes with a monstrous 20 kilometre ascent.

Giro 2014: Stage 15 Favourites: Montecampione, for a non-GC climber

A relatively flat stage until the last 19 kilometres, where the riders ascend a total of 1,446 metres. It's another opportunity for GC men to gain time on rivals but also a chance for the mounatin goats not involved in the GC to escape to victory.

Stage 15 in the 2014 Giro salutes Marco Pantani. The Italian climber took the stage to Montecampione in 1998 when he conquered the mountain in just 49 minutes. Quintana? Purito? Can anyone match that?
